We are called to ministry through our baptism. While ministry can take on several forms, liturgical ministry serves the Body of Christ during the celebration of the Mass.
Genuine ministry is about humble service. The model for all ministry is Christ the Lord who came to serve, not to be served. His command to “love one another” (cf. John 13:43) was modeled throughout his life and ministry. The Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion must put aside personal needs in order to serve the community and give faithful testimony to Christ’s presence in the Eucharist.
If you feel God is calling you to serve as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, please click on the application form on this page. You can download the form from this page and either email it or print out and deliver the completed form to the church office. |
