Ministry Mission Statement: To provide adults in the community of St. Francis by the Sea varied opportunities to grow in their relationship to God, and understanding of our rich Catholic heritage. Faith Alive is an opportunity for St. Francis parishioners to deepen their faith, enrich their lives and build community.

Current Ministry Activities: Year of Mercy

The following activities will be confirmed in the parish bulletin when the date approaches:

November 19, 2015    6-7:30 PM             Family Center

•   Surviving the Holidays: Family Relationships and Mercy
Interactive workshop for adults on healing and forgiveness in families at the time of year when relationships can be difficult!

December 6, 2015:                                     All Masses

•      Distribute copies of Year of Mercy Bull of Indiction

February 4, 2016:  6:00-7:30 PM            Family Center

•      The Sacrament of Penance from an Adult Perspective
Interactive workshop updating adults on sin and how to approach the sacrament as an adult

April 21:  6:00-7:30 PM                              Family Center

•      Interactive workshop for adults on “Who You Are Is How You Pray” or “Discerning Your Gifts” with emphasis on Year of Mercy themes from the Bull of Indiction

October 6, 2016:  6:00-7:30 PM               Family Center

•      Speaker-led program on Mary, Mother of Mercy

Throughout the year: 

•      Provide resources and speakers to parish ministries according to their need, encouraging them to be involved in Year of Mercy activities.
