Mission Statement: The Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites “welcomes those of the faithful who, by special vocation, undertake to live, in the world, an evangelical life of fraternal communion imbued with the spirit of contemplative prayer and apostolic zeal according to the example and teaching of the Carmelite saints.”

Current Member Activities: Members freely undertake to practice being in the presence of God during the day, devote at least 30 minutes to mental prayer or meditation daily, and pray the morning and evening prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours daily. They also attend daily Mass and Communion if possible, wear the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, and live the beatitudes by some form of apostolic activity or ministry.

Current Volunteer Opportunities: New members are always welcome.
