The Parish Pastoral Council is a consultative body to the Pastor through which the Christian faithful can offer their gifts and “their help in fostering pastoral activity.” This is both the role and purpose of the Parish Pastoral Council.

JUST WHAT IS A PASTORAL COUNCIL?

Pastoral Council Membership

 •  Any member of the parish eighteen (18) years of age and older is eligible to
     become a member of the council.
 •  Nine members, elected by vote of the parish, serve for a three year term,
     with three new members elected each year.
 •  The pastor appoints two additional members. They are voting members,
     appointed for a one year term, renewable for a maximum of three years.
 •  Non-voting members consist of the Pastor, Assistant Pastors, Deacons, the
     Finance Council Chair and the School Principal.
