Mission: Whatever is needed for active and fruitful participation during mass.
Current Activities: For Sunday and Solemnity Masses - Provide seating assistance; take offertory and special collections; assist communicants during the reception of the Eucharist; support the administration of collections; coordinate presentation of the offerings of the faithful; manage unusual circumstances like medical emergencies.
Volunteer Opportunities: Varies by mass times. We are always looking for new ushers! Any registered member of our faith community can be an usher. Ushers join a mass team and commit to six monthly assignments per year; adhere to a dress code; and attend a one-on-one training session. Ushers are expected to also volunteer for special liturgies, especially during Easter and Christmas.
Safe Environment Requirements: All Members of the St. Francis Usher Team must complete the Safe Haven - It's Up to You Online training. Information on the Safe Haven - It's Up To You training can be found on the Safe Environment web page along with Diocesan background screening forms.
